Welcome to the web site of the Chadwick Homeowner's Association! The neighborhood of Chadwick is located in the City of Helena, Shelby County, Alabama, on AL-261, two miles west of US-31. There are 130 single-family homes with a variety of one and two story floor plans. All homes are built on concrete slabs and have attached two-car garages. Chadwick was built in four phases, with the first being completed in 1993 and the fourth being completed in 1996. All streets in the neighborhood have sidewalks and the homes in the first three phases have alleyways for driveway and garage access. The homes in the fourth phase have private driveways connected to the city streets. The sidewalks and streets in Chadwick are well lighted with each home having a gas or electric coach lamp along with several architecturally-matching streetlamps throughout the neighborhood. Chadwick is a Planned-Use Development or "Covenant Community". All homes and lots in the neighborhood are subject to and protected by the covenants as recorded with the Shelby County Judge of Probate, August 20th, 1993. These covenants form the basis for the creation of a homeowner's association which enforce its restriction, conditions, and limitations. Additionally, the association maintains certain common areas of the neighborhood, such as the front entrance the the right-of way areas along AL-261.
